Aldana Juárez Czeplowodzki (1990) es una cineasta argentina con una carrera destacada en el ámbito audiovisual, actualmente residente en Barcelona. Estudió Diseño de Imagen y Sonido en la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), donde se graduó con honores debido a su excelencia académica.

Su obra se caracteriza por una fuerte vinculación con su experiencia de vida, explorando los límites de la realidad para ofrecer una crítica y reflexión sobre los sistemas de poder establecidos. Con un enfoque documental profundamente arraigado, sus proyectos se centran en la observación del entorno humano y espacial, generando relatos que combinan intimidad y distanciamiento, frecuentemente presentados desde la perspectiva de un narrador omnipresente.

Comenzó su carrera en la producción audiovisual a los 22 años, trabajando para Canal Encuentro en Argentina y como asistente de producción en cine y televisión bajo la dirección de Bruno Stagnaro. Dirigió su primer cortometraje, *Eslabón 16*, una obra que retrata la lucha de 16 trabajadores que recuperaron una fábrica de cadenas. Este film ganó el premio INCAA TV y otros galardones nacionales e internacionales, con proyección en varios festivales.

Además, coordinó durante siete años el Centro de Producción Audiovisual del CCCP, una institución dependiente del Ministerio de Cultura de la Nación Argentina. Allí, fue responsable de un taller de identidad colectiva con perspectiva de género y fotografía, trabajando con mujeres y adolescentes en situación de vulnerabilidad social. También se desempeñó como profesora en la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) y en la escuela ORT Argentina.

En cuanto a su trabajo cinematográfico, co-dirigió el documental experimental *Barrio Adentro* sobre la Villa 21 en Buenos Aires, que fue seleccionado en varios festivales, incluyendo el Festival de Derechos Humanos y la Bienal de la Imagen en Movimiento (BIM). Actualmente, trabaja como documentalista en el proyecto *Queengs of Kibera y el Secuestro del Sol*, dirigido por Marina Gatell y apoyado por UNICEF. También es co-guionista del proyecto *El día en que Ewan McGregor me presentó a sus padres*, dirigido por Marta Puig y producido por Mistermiyagi.

Aldana está expandiendo su carrera hacia la instalación audiovisual, enfocándose en la investigación crítica de la imagen y la innovación artística en el formato de no ficción, mientras participa en un curso anual de guion de series en la escuela Showrunners.

Aldana Juárez Czeplowodzki (1990) is an Argentine filmmaker currently residing in Barcelona. She studied Image and Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), graduating with honors due to her academic excellence.

Her work is deeply connected to her life experiences, exploring the boundaries of reality to offer a critique and reflection on established systems of power. With a strong documentary focus, her projects center on observing the human and spatial environment, creating narratives that combine intimacy and distance, often presented from the perspective of an omnipresent narrator.

Aldana, began her career in audiovisual production at the age of 22, working for Canal Encuentro in Argentina and as a production assistant in film and television under the direction of Bruno Stagnaro. She directed her first short film, *Eslabón 16*, a piece that portrays the struggle of 16 workers who recovered a chain factory. This film won the INCAA TV award and other national and international accolades, with screenings at various festivals.

Additionally, she coordinated the Audiovisual Production Center at CCCP, an institution under the Argentine Ministry of Culture, for seven years. There, she was responsible for a collective identity workshop with a gender perspective and photography, working with women and adolescents in vulnerable social situations. She also served as a professor at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and at ORT Argentina school.

In terms of her film work, she co-directed the experimental documentary *Barrio Adentro* about Villa 21 in Buenos Aires, which was selected at various festivals, including the Human Rights Festival and the Biennial of Moving Image (BIM). Currently, she is working as a documentarian on the project *Queengs of Kibera and The Kidnapping of the Sun*, directed by Marina Gatell and supported by UNICEF. She is also the co-writer of the project *The Day Ewan McGregor Introduced Me to His Parents*, directed by Marta Puig and produced by Mistermiyagi.

She is expanding her career into audiovisual installation, focusing on the critical investigation of the image and artistic innovation in the non-fiction format, while participating in an annual series writing course at the Showrunners school.
